What is a proxy ?

A proxy it's a computer or program that acts as intermediary between a web browser and another web server, in other words a proxy allow web browsers to receive pages from another web servers without communicating with them directly. A proxy works by intercepting connections between the sender and the receiver of the request.

Do i need a proxy ? When ?

Most people use a proxy to access another websites blocked by some institutions and/or companies. For example websites like Myspace, Facebook, Youtube or Bebo but not limited too. In other countries the ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) and/or Government is restricting the free access to the internet.
